Since May of 2015, I have hosted a sports talk show on 1240 AM WGBB Long Island. WGBB has been around since 1924 and is one of the oldest stations on Long Island. The show I host is called "SportsTalk1240" and is on Sunday night's from 8-10PM. On the show, I cover all 9 New York sports teams and all the national sports headlines. We have broadcasted "SportsTalk1240" from the Super Bowl, the Belmont Stakes, and many other big events.
In addition to the weekly show, I also serve a reporter on the station covering various events in the New York scene.
As the host for SportsTalk1240 my responsibilities include:
- Creating topics and content for the show
- Generating listener phone calls
- Booking guests to appear on the program
- Reaching out to companies to sponsor the program
